Bunnies and Crafts!

Last week Jeff told me that he had seen some bunnies for cheap on KSL classifieds (one of our favorite places to waste time) and so on a whim, Jeff, Heidi, Susan and I drove to Perry and picked out two darling little bunnies. They are 4 and 6 weeks old! We have been thinking of hundreds of names for them, but I think we have finally settled with Smokey (Heidi's bunny who is pictured in the baseball mitt) and Joey (my bunny who is pictured with me). They are so cuddly and fun and getting some good hoppin' legs! Heidi always has the most fun pets (goats, bunnies, birds, iguanas, everything you can think of!) and so we decided it would be fun to get these bunnies to hang out together.

Heidi's bunny is really sweet, but he eats a lot. I think he may be getting a little chubby because of all the grass he eats! I guess it is good that he eats a lot rather than not at all.

I had a hard time finding a good name for my bunny. I think he looks more like a mouse, so at first we were going to name him Feifel (feivel?) from that kids movie... and then I thought it would be fun to name him bugsy because he has these big bugsy eyes... but that didnt seem to fit him very well either... and then Jeff said that he looks more like a little kangaroo, so that is why we decided to name him Joey. He has really sharp claws, so I have scratches all over, but he is so fun and loves to play with Smokey. We love these little bunnies!
Heidi and I also decided one day that it would be fun to make some button earrings! We love doing crafts together and this was an especially fun one because we get to wear our crafts! This picture isn't really the best, but you can see that we took buttons (that we got from Hobby Lobby, the best store ever!) and we took the button attacher thing off the backing of the button. Then we used the button cover to put the fabric on and hot glued an earring back to the button that we had just made. Pretty cute huh! I think I will be making more of these because I absolutely love them!

These are the polka dot earrings that we made from scraps. I wear these all the time! We have definitely been hit with the craft bug. It is just too fun!

ps.. I got offered a job! AHHH! I can't believe it. I have two more interviews and based on how those go, I will be a teacher probably at one of these three schools. I feel so blessed and cannot wait to start planning and preparing my classroom for next year :) :) :) Wish me luck!
