Add a little dash of Domesticity

I have been feeling the need to be more domestic since..... forever! and I decided what no better time to start than now. I must warn you, I am not insanely creative by any means, so these projects are simple and easy to do. I'm just a beginner!

Jeff had to go to Bear Lake with Dallas to work on remodeling some of the bathrooms in his grandpa's condo's. I went with them, but let them handle all the hard labor while I crafted to my heart's content! Okay, so I just did a few simple crafts, but this was one that I was really happy with the turnout.

I hung this "B" with a red ribbon from our door... when we get a place of our own I am planning on making a picture wall and this will go on it. For now, it will hang from our door!

I apologize for the lack of quality, I forgot my camera and I used my phone, but you get the idea!

Jeff and I both love nachos and this is the guacamole I made the other day to go with our lunch! I mashed the avocados and mixed them with some fresh salsa and garlic pepper and salt. It was absolutely delicious!
The next experiment was our first attempt at making cinnamon rolls and, I have to admit, it is going to take me a few more times before I get this down just right. The dough didnt rise enough but after over an hour we got impatient and made them anyway. They turned out really yummy, but not very pretty. We are still learning and I know that our next batch will turn out a TON better.

This is our new Bosch Mixer! I can't lie, I thought I was going to be a KitchenAid kind of wife, and then I used a Bosch! I don't think I will ever go back. This machine may not be the most beautiful machine and it doesn't come in lime green, bright red, yellow, silver, gold, copper, etc... but, it can do anything in the world and it does it well. I am so excited for the many more cooking challenges that I will take on with my new mixer!
These are the cinny rolls.... sorry it is blurry, but they were yummy! So proud of us! I hate to admit this, but I had never in my life made my own dough before. It is so much more fun and way better tasting! It also makes me feel like a real wife now that I know how to make bread, different kinds of rolls, anything really! Pretty cool!

Ha you make me laugh... it's funny how once you're married, you almost feel like it's your responsibility to be domestic.... then you have kids and even though your creativity stays at about the same level, your desire to create things triples.... as a result you get a lot of crazy projects half finished! (but hey it's fun while it lasts!) I'm in the process of making shelves and possibly a bed for Sawyer, we'll see what happens :)
I miss you and hope that for some reason I'll see you again soon!
